A custom order can need more than a swatch.
For an engraved product, ask the customer to upload artwork, enter a description, or provide both. Show a font picker when they choose text, and set a price by character or by formula.
If they add a matching accessory, copy the choices that apply. Any required option that cannot be copied needs a choice before the accessory can be added.
Keep the order details. Limit the data.
OptionCraft keeps the order fields it needs for price checks. Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses are removed before order data is stored. Uploads are checked and cleaned before they can be opened, and option and upsell analytics run only when a visitor has allowed analytics.

01Does OptionCraft need theme code edits?
No. Add OptionCraft as a theme app block through Shopify's theme editor. It is built for Online Store 2.0 themes.
02How do option prices work at checkout?
Shopify Functions applies option prices at checkout from the customer's configuration. You can set fixed amounts, percentages, charges per character or line, length or quantity tiers, and formulas. Checkout validation blocks a cart line with missing required options.
03Does it create hidden variants or draft orders?
No. OptionCraft applies option prices through Shopify Functions (Cart Transform), without hidden variant products or draft orders.
04Can I show options only when they are needed?
Yes. Rules can show, hide, require or lock options and individual values. A rule can use conditions on two or more options, such as requiring an artwork upload, a description, or both.
05Which files can customers upload?
Customers can upload PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG and PDF files up to 25 MB. Images are saved again to strip embedded metadata. SVG and PDF files are rebuilt without scripts, and files that fail the checks are quarantined.
06Can customers change options from the cart?
Yes. Customers can edit their options from the cart. Related-product upsells can also copy their choices, with options that cannot be copied marked as needing a choice before the product can be added.
07Can I translate the storefront text?
Yes. Merchants can translate the storefront text. The OptionCraft admin is in English.
08What happens to data when I uninstall?
Access tokens are deleted immediately. When Shopify sends its store-erasure request 48 hours after uninstall, OptionCraft deletes the store's settings, options, order checks, uploads and analytics. Published-option backups have a 30-day lock and are removed automatically after 365 days. See the privacy policy for retention and recovery-copy details.
